Surely someone would have asked for this wheel size somewhere before, but I cant work out if this will work or not...
Stock car with Tein RA height adjustable coilovers.
Tires would be: 245/40/R18 all round.
Wheels would ideally be: "ROTA P45R2" 18x9.5 +35 all round.
Basically this would be for an every day driver FD that I would expect to have very little rubbing or issues. Not into this "flush" bullsh!t, and I dont like the whole idea of that, or a lot of silly camber, etc. I want functionality.

Thanks guys. I would be buying the set online, so its hard to size them up without physically getting them here. Which makes it a gamble I dont want to take unless someone more experienced with this size/tire combo chimed in and said it was possible.
I do really like the Rotas though, so I am very hopeful...!!
So an 18x9.5" with +35 offset will fit all round, and will fit under the front arches without hitting/rubbing things like crazy?
(I figured the rears would probably fit, as there looks to be a lot more room under the rear arches)

Say I was going to run the 245/40/18 tires all round.
And I was set on 18x9.5" rims all round.
What offset would people recommend? Not for looks, just functionality.
+38, +35, +30, +20, +15?
Because thats where my calculations are falling down. I dont know enough about what offset sizes the FD chassis can accomodate under the arches.

I had to roll the front and rear fenders on mine with the tires I am running. you will most likely need to roll the front fenders on yours.

This is going to be a long and complicated post, so bear with me while I explain "everything"that I have measured and learned..
So the car has already got rolled/pumped out fenders. I didnt remember this til I went outside and looked at it. I'm just used to looking at it, so it seems normal to me. They are about an inch flared (and done pretty well I might add) before I bought the car, so done in Japan.
Here is what it is running at the moment:
Front: Super Advan SA3R 18x9 +45 with a 245/40/R18 tire
Outer lip clearance to fender: 30mm. Inboard lip clearance to suspension: 55mm.
Rear: Super Advan SA3R 18x10 +35 with a 275/40/R18 tire
Outer lip clearance to fender: 0mm flush. Inboard lip clearance to suspension: 40mm.
Based on all this, I have chosen the following wheel sizes for the new wheels:
Front: Rota P45R2 18x9.5" +35
Outer lip should have 24mm clearance to fender.
Inboard lip will have 46mm clearance to suspension.
Rear: Rota P45R2 18x9.5" +35
Outer lip should have 6mm clearance from fender.
Inboard lip should have 46mm clearance to suspension.
So I think I have it all worked out now. When it comes to wheel fitting, I admit I am hopeless. I always wanted new wheels, but the offset and clearance and measurements always scared me out of doing it, because I didnt want to order them and f$%^ the measurements up.
This time I'm going to do it!!

Tem120, my car has 18x9 +45 on the front right now, and it has at least double the "sunken in" space that yours has in that photo. But my guards are flared and rolled out a lot.
IE: right now with my current 18x9 +45 fronts, there is 30mm (inch and a quarter or so) from the tire to the lip of the fender. Major sunkeness!! :p I bet your car has less than that?
With the new 18x9.5 +35, they will extend out 16mm towards the fender compared to the old rims. I already have 30mm space there. So there will be 14mm space to the fender lip with the new wheels.
Which says they should fit under the front nicely..
**Also, I dont think the front wheels in that photo are -25 offset.
+ positive offset sets the wheel further inboard toward the brake side of the wheel and has not much dish.
- negative offset sets the wheel out towards the outside of the car for that "deep dish" look.
+25 would still have a deep dish look, and be rubbing the outer fender.
-25 would have so much dish, it would be insane.
Those front wheels look like they are +38 to +35, because they dont have a lot of dish?
