FD3S with RX-8 2008+ non-R3 18'' wheels?

Anybody tried it/has a picture?

I've seen pictures of a FD3S with R3 wheels and it's just too much...

I've got older RX-8 wheels (came that way from the dealer) – 17 inch wheels are better, in my opinion:

The wheels in the 1st pic kinda look like a 2nd gen MS3.

The R3 wheels are 19x8 +50, the stock non R3 wheels are 18x8 +50. The R3's are definitely way too much for the FD's, IMO, 18's are the largest that should be on an FD. 17's are definitely great especially adding more sidewall for ride comfort

I don't like 1st gen's RX-8 wheels.

Funny you say that, a friend of mine has these wheels on its Mazdaspeed. I once asked him if they were from a RX-8. I suppose they are identical.

Yes I also think 17'' is enough, but I'd like something OEM. The only 17'' wheels OEM I can think of are from the 2002 Spirit R. Money talks, they are worth way too much.

1 thing to think of, coming from a guy with 17x10s is: Nice wide performance tires are much easier to come by in an 18 these days. Definitely not as many choices in 255+ width for us.
I'm with ya on the looks though...17s are perfect, IMO, and those look nice. Maybe an 18 with a little more lip to kinda conceal the diameter would look less...blingy.

Ok, little update: RX-8's non-R3 wheels and 2nd gen's Speed 3 are NOT the same.

I can't believe nobody tried it on a FD?
