FD: wheel/tire for max size and CCW vs. other wheels +/-'s?!?!

I'm trying to get my info correct about max tire sizes for an FD with custom wheels.

18x10 and 18x12 rims with 285/30/18's up front and 335/18's out back with stock front fenders and Petit rear flares will work fine with proper offset?

I am looking at CCW wheels in their classic design. They look like they will be a b*tch to clean however they are fairly light. I do like the 5 spoke look in Kinesis wheels as well.

What are the +/-'s people have found with the CCW's or other wheels in large sizes.....?

Thank you in advance. I've decided to change my plan and go roadrace vs. drag. 25 minutes of ***** to the walls roadracing blows away 10 seconds of straightline drag racing. Well there goes 4 years worth of research down the tubes .

I've got 18x10" CCWs with 285/30-18 tires all around. They fit fine at both ends, but I am pretty sure you need the smaller springs you get with adjustable coil-overs to fit them in front.

I highly recommend the CCWs, the 18x10s fit fine but you do need 2.5 inch springs.
CCW makes a fantastic product and has some of the best customer service in the RX7 community. I visited Johns shop and he took 2 hrs out of his busy day to school me on production, metallurgy and many other race related issues. He is a veritable fountain of knowledge and a all around good guy.

Thanks for the info guys.... I guess CCW's it is. The price can't be beat and I know John is very consciencious about quality and weight.

They are a major PITA to clean though right? Any othe wheel recommendations in large sizes and light weight?

SSR Comps

SSR Comps:

9.5 x 17, 42-mm offset all around with 255/40-17

8.5 fr/9.5 rr x 17, 42-mm offset, 235/45-17fr//265/40-17 rr

9.5 x 18, 50-mm offset all around with 265/35-18

9.5 x 18, 50-mm offset, 265/35-18 front
10.5 x 18, 43-mm offset, 295/30-18 rear

10.5 x 18, 43 ET needs a 79.5 to 67.1 mm hubcentric ring.

Comps are the lightest available; easy to clean because of the clearcoat, and no rivet hardware.

John is real easy to work with. Just ask him whatever is on your mind. He's very knowledgable and is good at fitting your needs.

The classic look is fine, but I recommend the black anodized centers. You won't have to clean those.
