FD Wheel & Tire Fitment Help
Hey guys, I'm currently in the market for some new tires and looking to get the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 StarSpecs. My goal is to get the widest tires that will fit my wheels for maximum grip.
Here's my specs:
Gram Lights 57C 17 x 8.5 38-mm offset | Currently on 235/45R17 - Slightly rubs only on the inner fender plastic
Gram Lights 57C 17 x 9.5 36-mm offset | Currently on 255/40R17 -No problems
What would be the best maximum tire set-up I can run with these wheels without or atleast minimal issues ? Right now I'm thinking of Front:245/40R17 and Rear:265/40R17, will these fit ? The other set-up I had in mind was f:235/45R17 r:265/40R17, what do you guys think ?

Those should fit just fine. Just look to see if you have 5mm to spare between the fender and the tire. It would be good to get away from that 235/45-17. Too tall for the front. Okay for the back.
I have 255/40-17 all round on a set of 17x8 + 32 that I use for autox. Only slight rubbing on the front outside under braking and turning. Fits with plenty to spare in the back.\
