Fd Wheel Adapters To Fc Fitment

Just thought I would kick in my recent experience.
I did the research in archives before rishie's new thread was posted.
I found out about wheeladapters.com run by a famous california hot rod
guy named FRED GOESKE. He knows of our cars, as his son has had 1, that was given to him [FD] with 20 miles on it back in early 90's.
I told him what i was doing and gave him some numbers about hubcentric bore size and offset, and he personally called me up within 5 minutes and completed order. Within 5 days[ I am in Florida] I was bolting on my new 225/50/16 in front and 245/50/16 in rear with no fender rolls and I have eibach lowering springs and tokico struts. I think if you talk to Fred and tell him, I suggested his adapters, we could get him as a group buy provider or vendor. Just a thought. Total to my door was like 180,I have to check but that is almost exact amount. good luck and pm me if you want me to set this up.

sorry, price was for 2 front hubcentric adapters, I used some other spacers on back from tire shop, I am not sure if you need those. I have to start a photobucket account then I can post pics of my car, or can email some if you send address in pm. or wait till I post.

I believe the FD center bore is around 62 or 63 something and FC is 59.6
and the offset on FD is 50mm and FC is 40mm. RTed does the math on another thread and
the result is 20mm adapter spacers, but you can check with Fred at wheeladapter.com to make sure. I will ask him to send dimensions if I don't find them.
These are very high quality brushed aluminum and come with everything, I would think everyone in California could save on the shipping alone to offset the cost of getting all four. Or get a few people in group buy together.

So $180.00 for two front hubcentric adapters? The KICS ones we use are modular which is what makes them quite nice and they are pretty lightweight.

waiting on samsung to deliver battery for camera, they said 7-10 business days and 9/12 will be the 10th day. I tried calling last night but their office was open only till 4pm and doesn't reopen till monday at 8am. Like I said, I am sending Fred email and will approach him about doing a group buy. what are the prices ard t2 for yours? if this is from rishie, last time you contacted it me it was like 275$ + shipping for 4. and yours come in pieces[modular] and have to be grinded on to work? these are perfect one piece adapters/spacers in one, I think they have longer studs in them also, so you use common deep lugnuts for extra safety/strength.

They are $275.00 shipped and covered by a HUGE importer and Manufacturer's Insurance Liability Policy.

They are modular such that you can use them on a different vehicle with the same boltpattern in the future. The Spacer's hubring is removable.

The grinding down is a result of the FC application more than the Spacer. The FC hub area is just weird car. The grinding is extremely minimal. A simple dremel or we can offer the service for you at an additional fee. It's seriously just 1mm.

I've used custom built spacers before from many US manufacturers just like the ones from your guy and they just aren't to this level. Not too mention that they are more expensive and not adaptable to other vehicles once made for the FC.

I've also found that many of them will not make it smaller than a 25mm spacer or you would need to press new studs in.

I've researched far and thin for the recipe I had created and it's absolutely perfect. I don't know why you would want to mess with perfection. It's backed by a huge manufacturer. Our spacers have been used in a variety of professional Japanese motorsports and US motorsports. I'd hate to mess with a good proven thing, even if it comes out to the same price.

Let credit go where it is deserved. I publicly disclose information on the board because I know this community is respectable enough to honor it's sources and to compensate those sources for their selflessness. I'm totally down for competition but it really needs to be healthy competition.

We still have the conversion spacers in stock, btw. Maybe run your thing when I run out so we don't step on each other's feet. Especially considering we are a forum vendor and you are promoting a non forum vendor.

I am not disrespecting your product and I don't know the groupbuy rules to the letter, but it seems any single person can jumpstart a thread about whatever they are selling. I am just providing information to other RX7 owners to make their own research and decision. the grinding i would say, is probably due to the FD wheel meeting adapter, where wheel has factory contours, these match up perfectly with no grinding, and my thread is specific to FD wheels, not modular spacers for other wheels. this is the suspension and wheel forum. yourt parts come from japan? that is easier/cheaper for you in california than for us on the east coast to deal wth. I recently noticed a vented headlight cover company from japan for fc's that just popped up, after jay at evorinc in New York, which I purchased from, had been selling for long time. I don't know if he sold design or what, but did not see any complaints about that happening. If he still does make, my point is the cost offset is more effective for east coast resident to get than from japan.
