Fd suspension issues
Hey Everyone,
I have another problem with my car. I'm trying to figure it out. Just the other day, on my way to Seattle, the road had quite a few bumps in it and my car seemed to be following the road, dents and all. I was fighting to keep the car straight but it was still really shakey. The car still needs alignment done and new tires.
So far, I have replaced all of the front bushings and my upper and lower controll arms (used but in good condition.) I also have replaced all four shocks with brand new ones, and with lowering springs from Racing Beat. I have an after market sway bar from M2.
My rear bushings still need to be done but my car is still uneasy when i'm changing lanes or just driving straight but especially when there are bumps or when the road is caved in a bit ,
I would appreciate any help you have to offer.

Improper inflation or a wrong offset (specifically a lower one) could cause issues. I ran +38 8.5 wheel in the front and it caused a small bit of bumpsteer. My next set will be +45-50. The wrong offset pushed the centerling of the wheel outward from the centerling of the hub. Translating to a force felt in the steering rather than being absorbed by the suspension.

really i didnt know wrong offset could cause this problem. I did have to roll my front fenders on my car, the rims i have are enkei rpm2. I think the offset on the rims is +35 on 9 wheel. I never thought the wheels could cause such a big issue. Could it be something else besides this?

Since you didn't do an alignment after doing all that suspension work, start there. All the settings are off after having everything apart. Find a GOOD shop since alignment makes a world of difference
Stiffer suspension and wider, low profile tires generally do follow road irregularities more than narrow tires and soft suspensions.
