While enjoying the many curves of the "Tail of the Dragon" during the 2011 Deals Gap Rotary Rally there was a small amount of time that felt like my rear left tire was going flat. That "thump, thump" vibration. As I was looking for a place to turn off, the instance went away.

Since that time, there have been two occasions where I have felt my left rear was once again "off" for lack of a better word. I've been under the car but have not found anything yet. Suggestions for causes and what I may be looking for subtle or obvious?

The car itself has Illuminas + Teins and to the best of my knowledge has never had bushings replaced.

My guess would be your bushings. . .mine were terrible; also had the same effects as you described. . .Super Pro ftw!
