FD same side rear calipers-problem?

Schucks screwed me again. I exchanged my rear calipers for remanufactured ones. Its been months. I painted them with high temp paint and went to put them on yesterday to find they gave me two lefts. These are hard to get ahold of these days. A buddy said the only difference is the bleeder valve being top vs. bottom and I could use a pump to bleed the side on the bottom. Is this correct? Its a much easier solution as I will have to wait another week plus for another one and they will only give me exchange value if I get the correct side and I'll have to paint it. Thoughts?

Return them, or plug the one that is upside down and drill and tap a new bleeder hole.

I imagine that is out of the questions since you did not try rebuilding them yourself!
