So this fitment is good with +44. Whts the max on the front without any rubbing issue?

I'll get some pics loaded tomorrow......max front that I'm running is 275's with rolled fenders and slightly shaved lower control arms. The plastic inner lining will rub a little at max turns....no biggie:nod:

s4vagguy 07-26-12 07:59 AM

thats a pretty nice fitment with not that much poke

Hines157 07-27-12 10:57 PM

CCW are well crafted

Hmm!

I wonder if my 295/35/19's on 19X10.5's 38-offset will fit then..

Its worth a shot, it may just stick out a bit only.....got some crappy pics the other day. I'll take some more before posting.

Here the fronts are still sunken inwards about 1/2" or so.....the wheel build should of have been done with a 10.5" instead of a 10.0".

as I found +38 offset fits 265 with front camber and lip rolled under and rear 265 with 1.6 deg camber stock fender barely fits (rubs letters on sidewall).

Gonna need more massaging of body to fit anything bigger than 265 on +38.

Based on abc's info that the Falken 615's will work, I doubt the Pilot PS2's will. The Falken's and Kuhmo's have a tread width of 11.7 & 11.5 respectively. The PS2 has a tread width of 12.5. All of these are with the 315/30-18 size.

The Kuhmo's are the cheapest by about $100 at this size. I use them on my 17x8 wheels with a 255/40-17 and have no complaints except that they are about 6lbs heavier than the PS2's.

I'll be giving the XS's a try on my CCW SP500 18x10's in the back next time. CCW told me that the 10" SP500's are actually closer to a 10.5 so I shouldn't have any issues. The 285/30-18 Sumitomo's on there now actually look a tad stretched. Perfect for the front but too small for the back.

tirerack has a "section width" and a "tread width"
which of these determines the full width of the tire after being mounted to the rim?
i thought section width was the one, and the one we should look at for measuring whether wheel/tire setup will fit or not?
if so, falken tires website does not list the section width for the 615k's and their "tread width" listed (11.7") would only equate to 297mm wide

ABC, perhaps you can manually measure the widest part of the 315 wheel/tire and get back to us on exactly how wide it is?

oh crap, edit: falken tires does list the section width, which is 12.6

I think the section width is the widest part of the tire including the sidewall. This would change based on the rim used(but never less than tread width). The tread-width is the part that contacts the ground and wouldn't vary much at all. I pulled the widths off of Falken's site as they weren't all listed on tirerack.

Assuming full travel of the suspension the section width would be important to determine if a tire will rub on the fender. A rounded tire, however, may fit better due to the movement of the suspension and it increasing negative camber when compressed.

It seems the Michelin's get you more contact with the ground for a given overall width.

I also concur that the RT615's ran narrower than the next tire I used (AD07's)

Haven't been checking on this thread lately. Let me confirm your findings to see if the width is 12.6. I'll measure it and post it up for future reference to the rest of the members that may be interested.

The PS2 tires are very nice, but cost too much for my purpose. BFG Drags/NT01 will be my next setup when the Falkens are used up.
