I gave in and ordered. I didn't know if the 20% covered shipping, as in free shipping promotion. Since I a in NJ I will pick them up.

I doubt that's part of the deal they are offerring Go. Must be Aluminum Front and OE cal rear BBK kits.

FYI, my pricing will not be better than RB's if you buy direct until the 15th. If you want Front only or Rear only then pm me and i'll work the figures to your benefit. Sadly I've had to turn down several several clients simply due to this promotion RB is running. My price will be more. They aren't providing me with additional Guinea Pig pricing. hehe. So it's best i just post it here because i'm getting a lot of PM's where people think i might be able to offer the same deal.

AGAIN, if you want ANYTHING RB other than F/R kit purchased at the same time please do contact me.

I've sent in a stocking order/email to RB for the Rear kits only so that they can be mated to others who have either Endless, AP, Alcon, Project My, or Stoptech systems.

I'm assuming there will be a large demand for people who already bought front BBK and want something to balance out the rears. Similar to hc's initial needs.

Thanks, Rishie

Would the rear brake kit work with 99 spec caliper?

Yep, I was charged tax. Since I put this on a CC with my address. I could have someone in NY pay for it and pick it up, but I didn't want them to have to worry about when they were going to be charged.

the rear RB rotors should work w the 99 spec caliper. this is premised on my understanding that the caliper is the same as the pre-99 FD caliper and that the difference is in the caliper mounting bracket.

i invite anyone who KNOWS this to be accurate to chime in. the question being:

will a 93-95 caliper fit in a 99 caliper mounting bracket?

(the 99 caliper mounting bracket will not work as the RB rotor is larger in diameter.)

Just an FYI, I spoke to Warren this moring. They want to sign on as a Vendor here, and will have their own dedicated sub-forum very soon. This thread will continue by all means, but sales will be handled through their section.

Like I told Warren, knowing that Howard is sorting out the details gives me all the peace of mind I need to know that this is the kit I want

I might have missed this, but I'm looking for a 2 piece kit like the RB setup but in 99 spec size. Will RB be producing such a setup?

you would be looking for, ideally, a RB 2 piece replacement rotor for the RZ rear. correct?

that would be a 314 MM by 20 MM w the same offset as the current RB offering.

i will check w Warren. since he is currently rolling out the FD, corvette, bmw etc etc it could only happen near term IF he had a close match dimensionally.

'talked to warren re the RZ rotors.

they are do-able but the setup expense requires RB assurance of interest.

someone needs to pick up the ball and define the interest.

That's exactly what i was trying to do Howard. I figured a poll would have been the easiest way. I spoke with Warren about the qty he's looking for and that is why I had a poll.

Would you or Warren want me to setup a separate thread in our subforum for this purpose. That way you can direct all 99spec RZ guys over there so this doesn't get fumbled up.

just trying to help. Please advise.

Thanks, Rishie

Ordered the full set, can't wait to get em. Do you guys think 1 liter of supeblue will be enough for a completely empty system to include abs/mc/reservoir?

So the rear brake kit is only available powder coated black? Can red be an option to match the fronts in red? Also can they be ordered without the Goodridge SS lines at a discount, I already have these on my car. Thx

Our standard color comes in black, however we are also offering different high temperature caliper paint that you can order at your choice of color (red). The caliper paints are currently on back order but we hope they will be available when the kits start to ship.

Our rear kit does not come with brake lines, however the required brake lines (front & rear) are included in our front 4-piston caliper kit.

For those who just purchase the rear big brake kit can either use their stock lines or purchase our brake line kit separately. Neither we sell or recommend just upgrade the rear brake lines.

Spoke with Warren again this morning. His commitment to providing the absolute best product for our RX-7s is heartening, and his worry-free warranty is reassuring. I think I'll be placing my order before the 15th

Besides just speaking to him, guys you should read some of the threads that are linked. They are very informative and come up with things that may not have been considered in this thread. It is nice to hear from people already using there brakes, even if it is not a FD. For those that don't read, there are also pictures.

I can find almost nothing on their site about the calipers, it's so rotor focused. Does anyone have any feedback on them? Why no bridge bolt for the 4 pot ones? Are the pistons Al or SS? Why were the 4 and not 6 pot ones chosen for the FD kit?

adax,

the RX7 front caliper is an uprated design and of course does use a bridgebolt.

hopefully i should have the first copy on my car and have pictures on this site by next friday. there are currently no pictures of this caliper on the RB site. i do have pictures and am impressed.

the 6 pot calipers don't balance against the RB rear upgrade. if at some point RB does a 6 pot front the rear will need to be changed to a 4 pot and the E brake will need to be gone.

that's fine on a track only car but most of us run dual purpose. the rear upgrade is the max that can be accomplished retaining the E brake. the 4/6 question has been covered earlier in this thread but due to it's length it would be a bit much to expect you to re-read it all to find the answers.
