FD master/booster in FC?

Hello all. I am parting out an FD and was wondering if anyone has swapped the FD master cyl and booster into an FC, and how easily it's done, and any mods that must be done. I know about the salve using the master as it's fluid reservoir, and that's my least concern. Thank you in advance

I've seen people swap the 929 BMC into FDs and FCs... so they should work the same.

The only issue you'll have is weather or not the FC has ABS or not. Non-abs FCs have 3 ports on the bmc, so you'll need a Y fitting to pipe both front brakes into the same port on the BMC.

This is how my 929 brake booster and BMC fits in my FC with non-abs lines:

Ok sweet. My car was originally a T2 with ABS. I've removed all of that and was used lines from a non ABS car, just used a S4 Na master/booster. The lines should be fairly easy to hook up. I was more worried about the room since the FD is slightly larger than the Na stuff. Very interesting. Maybe I should just sell the FD stuff and go get 929 stuff from the junk yard.

What year 929?

92-95 929 have the 1" BMC
both FDs and S5 TIIs have 15/16" BMC
all other FCs have 7/8"

929 brake boosters are dual stage 8"/9"
FDs are dual stage 8"/8"
S5 TIIs are dual stage 7"/8"
all other FCs are single stage 9"

dual stage boosters are compatible with dual stage BMCs, single stage with single stage.

you can't put a single stage BMC one a dual stage booster and vice versa.
