FD Eibach Pro Kit vs. Tein S. Tech

Are the Eibachs worth the $100 more they cost on eBay? Or are they pretty much even and you are just paying for the name? I will be installing them on stock touring shocks that will see some track and drag use as well as being a daily driver.

IMO, do not use the Tein S-Tech with stock shocks. They are a much higher spring rate than the stock or Eibach springs. Tein S-Tech's will lower the car a lot more than the Eibach (hence the need for a higher spring rate). Eibach's are a mild drop, but it does drop the front lower than the rear.

i have Tein S-techs with my r1 shocks. Works very well but the ride is pretty harsh. As far as performance wise, i think the teins are better because of their higher spring rate yet they wont work well with the touring or base shocks. I have heard that Tein makes cheap stuff compared to other companies.....

Please get the eibachs. Yes, they are worth the extra 100 bucks.

I just got a set of lightly used Pro-Kits for $155 shipped off of eBay. How much are you seeing them for?

BlouZbee your car doesn't even look lowered.
Mine with Eibach stock struts. FYI, the front is very low. I get tire rub over large bumps.

it doesnt look like a lowered car but they give it a better stance. i replaced all 4 strut mounts at the same time so the ride quality actually improved with the eibachs.

maybe someday ill a get konis to go with them but im in no hurry. i quite pleased. ive experienced no rubbing.

You know your opinion goes completely against Howard Coleman's ( the suspension expert) recommendation? He claims the Tien S Tech are a perfect match with the stock shocks.

I've been viewing Howard's posts for a long time and I haven't seen him recommend the Tein's with stock shocks. He does recommend the Eibach's with stock stocks; but I still believe the Tein S-Techs are too high of a spring rate for the stock shocks. It's extremely doubtful that Mazda envisioned the shocks supporting spring rates double of what the stock spring rates are....
