FD calipers on S5 TII?

Current Car

one noble white 1989 mazda Rx-7 TurboII
with 112,000 miles

What is needed?
Brake Job,
front and Rear pads and rotors

What i want...
rebuild my calipers at the same time.

Question:

Will the FD Brake Calipers (Front and Rear) bolt right up to my S5 TII? It has the vented rear rotors and vented front rotors with 4 pot calps.

=)

Thanks

I'm pretty sure they use the same pads, so I would think it's possible.. but they don't use the same rotors do they?

The T2 has great brakes

4-piston front calipers, ~12 inches all around

not much to improve upon really

the front rotors are the same as FD... that is why you see people buy brembo x drilled front rotors (genuine ones, not ebay crap)... but the rears, brembo does not make a set for the FC and the FD don't fit... thus you stuck with either blanks or some other make

Rotors are not the same. FD rotors are bigger front and rear than any FC rotors.

The caliper body is different. FD calipers will bolt right up to any 4 piston FC.

I think the bolt holes that hold the caliper on the FD are moved farther away from the spindles. I don't think the FD rotors will be a bolt on fit. Haven't tried this though.
