FC suspention question

My struts are bad in my 87 GXL with the electronic suspention. Ive been looking for aftermaket options and all of then say they fit all models but the ones with electronic suspention. Can I still put these on and just disconnect the electronics or will I need to find another part? If so, can someone link me to a part that will fit?

Any replacements will work. Just remove the motors. There are no replacements that work with the stock system other then the oem parts.

Will the motors be on top of the struts?

yes. in concept its just like the tein edfc system, it uses adjustable shocks, and then there is a stepper motor on top of the strut to adjust it.
