FC Race Wheels 15X10 or 15X12's

To quote CarmenColvin
I have experience with a 15" x 10" wheels on an FC. I purchased them with 5" of backspacing wich gives them 0 offset. They easily cleared the ground controlled coilovers but because of the face design on the race wheels they barley scraped the front brake calipers. Because of this I would run a 3/8" spacer. With the spacer they stuck out from the fenders by around 2.5".

I'm basically looking to duplicate this setup and will get getting a set of custom steel wheels made for racing. With the setup above you can turn the steering wheel lock to lock with almost no rubber on stock fenders. I would be running coilovers, and not have it lowered to agressively. I'm thinking 15's size just to clear the brakes.

I'd like to know what's the largest I could fit, with extended wheel studs. I'd like to do 15X12 all around, but would be worried about turning and the tire hitting the fender. Obviously they will stick outside the fender. I'll be using a 50 or so series profile also. I'd be using stock fenders, this setup only for racing. Any tips on how I could measure this?

i'm not sure about how to go about measuring this but if you do go with the stock fenders you'll must likely have tire rub, less with a stiffer suspension but still...if you go with a wider body fender set then you should have plenty of clearance. Nice project, good luck!!
