fc fitment??

i know this may have been asked before but i was wondering if 17x7 rims with a 40 mm offset and 5 mm spacers would fit an 87 t2 with stock suspension without rubbing or needing to "role" the fenders? oh yeah and i am going put either a 225 or 235 tire on, but i am not sure how a 235 would fit and look on a 7 inch wide rim. any input is appreciated

Don't do the 235 on the 7. Also you shouldn't need a spacer with stock style suspension.

thanks guys. i am just curious why the 235's would be a good idea. does anyone know where to purchase VRD wheels? i know they are cheap but they look fairly strong and i think the vrd-5's look damn good but i just dont know where u can buy them from.

I wouldn't go over 225 on a 7" wide rim.
I actually prefer 225 on an 8" rim.
