enkei's or ssr's for the track?

im curious which is a better wheel for the track. it will be driven on the track about once a month, maybe less. i just want to know which ones will not break off the hub at 100mph to put it plainly. they both claim that they are awesome wheels but then again, so does rota. also, maybe a stupid question but, 17's or 18's for a good track setup? thanks

It COMPLETELY depends on which wheels you are specifically talking about. Enkei makes plenty of wheels that have no business on a track, but if you are talking about wheels like the RPF1 and the NT03, that's a different story. Pick the wheels you like and get back to us about it.

If you have the money, go with SSR.

As for the size, that depends on your budget. It's going to be cheaper to get track tires in 17" rather than 18".

Also, look into Volk Racing. Their TE37s and CE28Ns are very light, the former even lighter in weight than SSR Competitions.

in the enkei's, i like the rp03 type rc, new for 06. and the ssr's i like the gt2's. the te37's were my favorite wheel for a long time but i want a 5 spoke design.

so 17's or 18's dont really matter? just a cost differance of coarse.
