dumb strut question

should you be able to compress the strut piston at all by hand? after changing my front wheels i took it for a drive and almost ate my brand new tire. i had bought a used set of replacement koni yellows a while back and decided it was time to switch them. but both the old and new(used) koni struts can be compressed by hand. pretty sur ethat is not supposed to happen. too bad they have a life time warrenty but only to the orig registered owner.

yes, you should be able to compress them by hand. but they should come back up on their own

Where is the adjuster at? At full soft I could slowly compress my new konis. At anything more than full soft it's tough to move.

What kind of wear are you gettting on the tires? Even blown shocks take a while to begin cupping a tire.

It depends if your compressing it by bouncing the car or acturally doing it by hand. if you have the strut in your hand and is able to compress it its prolly blown
