difference between 93 and 94 rear end

I just had a 94 3rd gen up on my alignment rack and noticed that the rear cross member is different than what is on my 93. Is this normal? The 94 has two tubular support braces that run longitudinally between the front of the cross member and the rear on either side of the differential. I was wondeing if this setup is stiffer than the 93's?

Yes, this is normal on 94's. 94's rear subframes are slightly stiffer due to those 2 other reinforcement points.
