Diff. Between 93 and 94 Rims

On FD rims there is a stamp with like a bunch of squares with dots in them and then a number following them. I need to know if 92 means it is from a 93 and if it shows a 93 it is from a 94. Can somebody check their rims for me to see what they say? Thanks

Ben

The squares and dot represent what month of the year the wheel was made. The number is the year. If it says 3/93, it probably came on a 93, but if it says 11/93, it most likely came on a 94. Who knows for sure.

Would it matter if I had two lighter rims and two heavier rims for daily driving?
Also, what do the different shapes in the back of the rims look like?

There are only two wheels that I am aware of that came to the U.S. They look the same from the front. If you reach your fingers around the back side you will feel a rounded edge or a sharper edge. The sharper edged ones are the ones that have been know to crack (rarely). The sharper edged ones were the early ones, but after the change they where all the same I believe.

Mine are stamped 12/93 and came on my 94. They are the "cracking" type supposedly (more angular backs, less metal, appear to be lighter). I'd like to see more pics of the type that crack, it seems weird that mazda would make the cracking wheels after the non cracking type.
