My car was taken to the dealer to get my new door handle put on because i did not have time to do it. I get the car back and the new handle works great. However, i looked at my rims and the lips on all the wheels has been totally thrashed! The polish looks as if it has been eaten away! The dealership always washes your car as sort of a compliment i guess, but i wish they hadnt this time. I did not take my car there myself ( had a family member do it) so I could tell them not to wash it. A Friend told me that they spray a "degreaser" on them wheels and it will eat off the polish. DAMN! My wheels are completely fucked up now! errrrrrrrrr, what can i do?

BTW: I have a VR 94' FD

 

Good Luck every dealership will act stupid and say "That was like that when you brought it here." That sucks it makes me mad just thinking about it.

 

Can you use some metal polish to restore the finish? Not sure how badly they messed it up. Sorry to hear that. Dealers usually use all wheel cleaners which should be safe on all wheels. Maybe they left the clean on the wheel too long or forgot to hose it off. If it's permanent damage, definitely speak to the service manager on Mon and call up the dealer owner.
