CYM with RX-8 wheels

IMO, RX-8 wheels belong on an RX-8. There are a LOT of better looking wheels out there for an FD, e.g., Kinesis, Fikse, HRE, SSR, CCW, etc.

Except for the CCW those are around $450
How about http://www.yawpower.com/wheels.html
I like the look of the RX8 wheels, too. The one thing I don't liks is the width of the rims. I think they are only 8" or 8.5" wide. If you are going to spend any money on wheels and tires, shouldn't go wider?

There's nothing worst than someone having to change their wheels just because they want to.
Well, since I can't edit my origional post (30min limit!!??), I wanted to say that the wheels look a little small in that pic. They'd look bigger in real life. Just look at how huge they are on an RX-8!
BTW: I do not buy wheels just to buy wheels. When I had my 92 Protege LX, I bought 16" Enkeis. Everyone gave me gruff for not getting 17s cause they were bigger. I said, the car weighs 2500 lbs and has 150hp, why the hell would I need 17s? 16s were almost too big for that car. They were about as I could practically go before overall performance would start to decline. Hell, the car was .3 seconds slower in the 1/4 mile on those 16s compared to the stock 14s. I think OEM 18s on a R1, with some good rubber, would make a good handling upgrade. But what do I now, I'm a noob
Notice an OEM mod here? Like I said, I'm weird like that.

The RX-8 wheels are a great buy. Around $250 for 16 lb 18" wheels? Wow. My friend just stripped his, and is clearcoating them with coloured clearcoat, after having them polished.
I would think wheel width is fine. They take the same width tires as the stock RX-7. At least they would have a better chance of fitting without drastic measures, compared to wider ones.
