Custom wheels and big brakes
I am ordering a custom set of wheels from JLine in California, I have not yet decided on a big brake upgrade but I would like to know what information about clearance I will have to provide for the wheel manufacturer. I guess what i am asking is how much wider clearance wide is your average caliper. What measurements will I have to provide to ensure I dont eliminate my chances of a future brake upgrade?

no body has any info, come on. For instance, how much wider are a set of endless or brembo calipers as oppossed to stock, someone must have some experience.

good luck with that, I ordered a set to run with the rotora 6-pot front and 4-pot rear, twice they got the specs wrong!, I ended up sending back for a refund and went with some HRE's....good luck

As for the BBK you will need to contact the manufacturer of the brake system and get a Clearance diagram or CAD drawing for the brake system. You can't give them an arbitrary # for how much wider your caliper is and expect good results.
There are several measurements that they look at:
1. Distance from rotor hat to caliper face, both leading and trailing edges
2. Distance from center of rotor to trailing, furthest edge of caliper = radial meas.
3. Distance from rotor disk to caliper face
So on and so forth.
Only then will you be free of liability with the wheel manufacturer. If you can provide me with that or tell me what brake system you want I can probably pull the data for you. Have you confirm that it matches the system you want and go from there.
I typically never find these US made Forged wheels to have the Lip depth of a Japanese wheel.
I work closely with Jline but they don't have the best Quality Control.
Almost every set I've ordered has to go back due to some mistake in production. Typically offsets are wrong or disk height is wrong.
If you are stuck on Jline then hit me up and i'll see what I can do to minimize any fall out.
