Thanks,

I don't do any track with mine, so the Pro-Kit has done enough for me. I would try some springs first and see how you like it. If you still want to improve the suspension more, then you'll need to take a look at some upgraded sway bars and shocks.

I have H&R Sport Springs, stock R1 shocks, and Eibach Competition sway bars fr/rr. along with a Tri-Point front sway bar mount reinforcer.
Visit my AIM weblinks to find out more.
My R1 is a daily driver. I autocross twice per year to get my Mazda Comp discount. I do 7 to 8 high speed track events per season to get my adrenaline fix. Most of my events are at Putnam Park http://www.putnampark.com/. I've also done events at Mid Ohio, Road America, Road Atlanta, Summit Point, and Gingerman with BMW CCA, MSCW, PCA, as well with my own, club--MDC (Motorsports Driving Club).
Good luck!

I believe the only difference between the touring and the R1 is the shocks and tower brace as far as the suspension is concerned. I upgraded to Koni Yellows and have been very happy, at a medium setting (1 turn or so), they are about the same as the R1, and at full soft they are about the same as the touring shocks. However, stiffer shocks won't help much with body roll in the sweepers. You will corner flatter when transitioning left to right, but if you want less roll, stiffer springs and sway bars are the order of the day.

You should seriously consider re-inforcing or replacing the front swaybar mounts. Especially when using a stiffer swaybar which will put more stress on the mounts. I had mine break on me recently, fortunately, I did not loose control of my car and crash.
I am trying to find out which mounts are the best, but have come up empty-handed. If anybody has experience with broken sway bar mounts and reinforcements, then please say so.
