Coilovers? Tein, Megan Racing, Silk Road, etc.?

Does anyone have any experience with Megan Racing coilovers or Silk Road? I'm looking for a streetable yet aggressive coilover. The best I've found are Tein Flex. I hear nothing but good things about them. I'm a student on a budget however so I'm looking at other economical options. The Silk Road coilovers have the same spring rates (10k,8k) as the teins while the Megan Racing are a bit more agressive (12k/12k). If anyone can give a review on how these coilovers perform that would be a great help. Thanks.

I can tell you right now that you're gonna get flamed. This topic has been discussed so many times on this forum that it's not even funny. That being said, do a search and you'll find all sorts of good threads that discuss this very thing. I dug up one where i wrote a good bit about the D2 coilovers that i have on my car. But it also has good general info on coilovers.

Aftter doing some reading and searching, if you still have questions i'm sure there are lots of people who will be more than happy to help.

Good luck.

2,100.00 CAD Canada Dollars = 1,827.49 USD United States Dollars
1 CAD = 0.870231 USD 1 USD = 1.14912 CAD

Still expensive even in Canadian dollars.

Seems like everyone one is coming out with coilovers. My brother sent me a link to a new place called Stance US.

Is there a reason why you want a full coilover setup?

Thanks for the posts guys. I tried doing some searches but I must have missed those threads with whatever my keywards were. They were very helpful.

Pat to answer your question, I'm going for the full coilover because it's not much cheaper to do separate shocks and springs. You also get springs that were made specifically for the shock and tested with the shock. I just feel it will be a better set up for me since I do plan on tracking it every so often.
