Coilovers or not?

Hello, I have an 88' vert and i would like to do my suspension. My options are going coilover (JIC FLT-A1 or Tein Type Flex). Or i can go conventional and get a set of Racing Beat springs and match those with some KYB's, Koni, or Tokico's. Any recommendations or horror stories are welcome. Thanks!

it just depends what you plan to do with the car, sometimes getting coil overs is a waste of money if you don't plan to ever really push your car, in that case you would me more happy with a shock and spring combo.

If the Corona you are referring to is in Queens, forget coilovers. The streets suck and you won't enjoy driving your car with a stiff suspension on those roads. I grew up in NY and lived in queens for a while.

Get some Konis and the springs of your choice - Eibach, Racing Beat, H&R

Yes , the Corona in Queens. Well they actually repaved all the streets about 1 week ago, so corona isnt too bad now. Brooklyn and Manhattan are horrible, suspension killers from hell. Thanks, looks like spring shock combo is the way the go, well atleast in my city.
