Coilovers
What is a good coilover for a TII?? I was looking around at the JIC FLT A-2 and the Tien RA and both of them look nice. Just dont know what all is out there and the pros and cons of some of them.. Was wondering what you guys like/dislike and why??
This comes down to your preferences. What type of functions do you have for your car?? Street. Track. etc.. Mostly street. Whatnot.
Tein specifies that the RA is for track only and will not take the abuse of street driving. The HA's have blown and are servicable.
I have yet to run into the situation with the JIC FLTA2. Also, be aware that what one person may consider comfortable may not be to another.
So the best thing to do is compare the ride quality between two suspensions. If you were local we could provide you with that demonstration.
For a street and track suspension my experience has shown the FLT-A2 to be the best compromise. For track only the RA might be a better purchase because after custom valving of the FLT-A2 you might be around the same price. However JIC has specified the FLT-A2 to withstand all that street and track have to offer as far as abuse.
On the FC, I don't recall the RA having indpenedent ride height and preload in the rear. So when lowering the car it will lose suspension stroke. The front however was independent. I just went to LA a couple weeks ago and checked out an FC with the RAs for comparison.
