Coilover/Brakeline Question

What do most people do with the center brakeline mount when dealing with coilovers? I fabricated this mount, with the tab from the stock strut, but was it a waste of time? Has anyone seen brakeline rubbing problems?

im surprised stance doesnt supply some kind of locking bracket

most coilovers made for other cars retain the mounting bracket

Most I've seen don't seem to have the brackets... Think I might try to fabricate something a little more "stock-like" and hose-clamp it to the strut body.

My Zeals came with brake line brackets that were attached to hose clamps. I didn't bother installing them. Your lines in the photo are sheathed, so they won't wear into the shock if they rub. I've run coilovers for years and never used brackets, and never had a problem. In fact, I've never had the lines touch the shocks on my FD either (except for a GR line that got kinked when I dropped the caliper and then started to rub - replaced those lines after that).

Thanks, I like the sound of that. Think I'll remove the bracket and monitor it for a bit, if I ever get this thing on the road...
