chrome wheels for silver?...

I currently have the stock chrome wheels on my car. I know a guy who wants chrome ones for his car. He has the silver aluminum colored ones. I said I would trade him rims. He seemed to get a little too excited. Is there something about the chrome rims that come on the 93's or is this guy just really crazy about chrome? I had to ask because I hardly ever see fd's with chrome rims. Were chrome rims a special option or manufactured in a limited supply? Sorry this may all sound stupid but I had to ask. I don't want to give away something I will kick myself in the *** for later. Thanks.

If I recall correctly, chrome stock wheels were not an "option" on any year FD, but there are lots of places doing exchanges on them.

I used East Coast Plating for mine. They shipped me the chrome stock wheels, and I sent them my stock silver ones and $600.00.

The chrome stock wheels have a little more value (to the right person), and are a little more rare than the stock silver wheels, so if you are going to trade with him, I'd hold out for a little cash and his wheels for yours.

Or, just keep the chrome ones!

good luck

I thought something was a little weird. I do like the chrome wheels I have but the chrome isn't so great. I think I'll just hold off and keep them. Thanks.

The chrome wheels were a dealer installed option. If anyone cares.
