Question Cheap Sticky All Weather Tires?

Due to finances, the rim upgrade won't be until next year for my GTU, and I can't get new rear rotors if I get expensive tires, so I need to choose wisely. I hate the fact that you can't just test drive tires!
Does anybody have experienced recomendations for an inexpensive (>$100 for a 205-45/50 15") performance tire with great wet capabilities?

$100 for how many? That's not alot to spend on. Could you expand your budget? I'm saving this for when Rishie gets back.

Check out thetirerack.com

It's a great tool for comparing tires. The Kumho Ecstas seem like a great bang for the buck street tire...

I got my Bridgestone RE730's at the Tire Rack for $110 a pop, which wasn't too bad. They are nice and gippy in the dry, very predictable, and absolutely amazing in the rain.

I meant around $100 per tire, Sully. My rear rotors are thin and wavy so they need to get replaced, plus all new pads - hopefully some Hawk streets - and I'm hoping the front rotors hold out until I find a wrecked T2 to scavenge a complete upgraded system.
A month and a half ago I lost my job and the new one pays about 1/3 less, so the budget is not expandable at this point.
RE730s, you say? Perhaps I'll give 'em a try. When it comes to wet driving in my RX-7s I feel nervous (spun my 1st gen), so "amazing" is exactly what I want for tires - thanks, vhold.

I bought Pirelli P-Zeros from the Tire Rack for $140 ea. They are very nice! Trust me $100 each is pretty tight for good tires.

NP, glad to help. I was very impressed with their manners in the rain, however I'm only speaking from personal experience - I am not exactly a qualified tire expert

Kumho Ecsta Supras and Yokohama A520s are good tires for the money, they just won't last as long as the other more expensive tires.

Toyo Proxes FZ4 are very good. I have them on 2 cars, and the handling is very good. They also do well in light snow since they're an all season tire. A set of 4 should cost you less than $400.
