17's will fit easily. You just have to go with a lower sidewall tire and you can't go as wide as if you had coilovers.

How wide can you go with 17" wheels with the stock suspension?

Thanks,

WIDER IS BETTER on 3rd gen.

I have 17 x 9.5 Borbet Type T wheels. I am not sure of the exact offset, but they CLEAR with NO PROBLEM in the FRONT and REAR with STOCK suspension. The tires I have on my car are 275/40/17 on the rear and 255/40/17 on the front. Again, they clear with NO PROBLEM. As a matter of fact, this wheel/tire combination clears the stock springs and fenders with ease. They will also clear with a 1" drop suspension with minor adjustments to the inner fender panels on the front.

Next time you have the wheel off, look on the back side of the spoke, and there will be a 2 digit number with 'ET' in front of it. 17X9.5 all four? Let us know what that number is, as that I'm curious - thanks!

i hate it when people ask this question. i could fit 22s or even 23s while keeping the stock suspension.

its all about the TIRE SIZE. i could put 15s on an FD and make em rub.....if i put 285/95-15 tires on there. on the other hand, i could fit 23s with 235/15-23 tires.

rim SIZE doesnt matter. its about the offset and tire size.

Sorry to dig this thread up but I was reading up on fitting 17x9.5's all the way around..

But joed where are you getting a 285/95/15 tire... Don't think they even make one. A 95 series tire?? Or even a 235/15/23??
