Usually a "big brake kit" comes complete with new calipers, pads, and rotors....
Can you give us the name of the company that made the rotors? This is NOT a simple issue.
Changing anything on the brakes on these (or any) car needs to be done thoughtfully or else you'll just hose up everything.
Wildwood and Brembo make some popular kits....

LOL, did you just buy some random rotors or what? Whose rotors are they and are they even designed for the FD?

How are they FD-specific if they don't fit the calipers??? I hope you can return them, because you have incorrect parts.

Jurgen,

What I would suggest if you really want to use those rotors, is to contact a company like StopTech ( http://www.stoptech.com/ ). They'll need exact measurements of your rotors (not just width) and they can see if they have something which might work.

Ask the guy who sold you the FD specific rotors. If he's making these rotors for a particular application he can tell you what caliper you need.

Maybe they are made for the Mazdaspeed calipers? You can widen your calipers by making a spacer and placing it between the caliper-halfes. Its not a hard part to make, but you will need a cutting machine (or whats it called in english :P ).

I would laugh if you just needed to compress the pistons...

RZ rotors are also bigger in diameter, which would require the RZ calipers, not just wider 93-95 calipers.

Since there are NO aftermarket calipers available for the FD that are wider but the same diameter, the ones that Jurgen bought are NOT FD-specific. Unless he hasn't yet noticed that the new rotors are also too big in diameter.

What kit would that be? Could you post a pointer?

Jurgen, measure the diameter of the rotors. That would help determine if they are the larger OEM rotors that some models (RS & RZ, I think) came with. I would also suggest measuring the thickness if the quoted figure (33mm ~= 1.3") was simply taken from the auction description and not verified by direct measurement. My guess is that they are RZ-sized rotors (which are ~315mm or ~12.4" in diameter), which will require the Mazda RZ calipers.
