Cadium plating and brembo brakes

i recently emailed brembo to ask about their cadium plating on the brake rotors. this is how it went:

brembo,
i was wondering if the brembo rotors come cadium plated to prevent rusting. if so, is it an option, or is it standard for all rotors? thanx in advance..
(this was from me)

Mr. Nguyen,
The cadmium plating is a rust inhibiter that is applied to all of our
discs for the Gran Turismo and Sport applications that we offer.
Although the plating does come off of the areas where friction occurs between the pad and the disc, the remainder of the disc remains plated. This is not an option of the disc, but rather how it is manufactured for sale by Brembo.

(this is from them)

i think there was a discussion about this before with people saying that cadium plating is an option. also saying that the reason the brembo rotors on ebay were so cheap is because they are not plated. maybe the people that bought rotors that rusted (inside holes and slots)should look into what they bought and make sure they got the real thing. if ya dont believe me email them yourselves...im just trying to look out for the fellow enthusiast.
