Bridgestone Potenza S03 vs. Hankook Ventus RS2 Z212
Hi all,
I am currently debating between the S03s and the Z212s. Most of what I've heard about both of these sets is hearsay. Some of my friends have said things like "The S03s are the best tires EVER," while others have said that the Hankooks are pretty darn good. They are both going to cost around the same, so price is no issue. If anyone has experience with either of these tires, especially in competition and normal street driving, please let me know what you think.
I drive a 1989 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II, and these tires will be going on a set of staggered mazdaspeed wheels. The sizes are 16x7 and 16x8. If I go with the Bridgestones, I am limited to a single size of 225/55/16. If I go with the Hankooks, I can run a staggered setup with 225/50/16 up front and 245/45/16 in the rear.
What would you do in my situation? Which tires offer the best dry/wet grip? Thank you very much. I appreciate all the help I can get.

Was that a typo?
I run 225 / *50* / 16 S-03 Pole Positions on my FC no problem.
What I don't like about the S-03's?
Sidewall a bit too soft for my driving style.
The tires are a little bit vague on-center.
Break-away is nice and progressive, but feedback can be subtle.
I have zero experience with the Hankook's.
