brakes and springs
I'm upgrading my suspension and I just ordered some to tokico shocks, springs I was thinking about racing beat all thats going to be alot of money for me since I'm still in school and can't work full time. When I do the brakes I want fairly cheap since I will be out of money. I remember seeing victoria british brake pads for 30 bucks semi metalic, does anyone have these brake pads are they a good buy or are they trash.

it is too bad you bought before you posted.
springs first, shocks second.
if money is really tight at the moment shop on this forum's classified section. you will find most anything you need at generally less than 1/2 price.
ideally, if you are wanting to upgrade your suspension you should have bought, IMO, either Eibach Pro Kit springs rate is 350 pounds per inch front and 255 rear or Tein S coils at 432 and 378. stock is 263 front and 195 rear.
the stock shocks control the Eibachs wonderfully and don't do a bad job w the Tein springs.
the Eibachs approx set your ride height at 25.5 front and 25.75 rear at the top of the wheel wells. i assume the Teins are similar.
both spring sets transform the car.
set your tire pressure at 30 front and 27-28 rear cold. toe in front and rear just less than an 1/8th inch. camber front and rear for street 1.2 degrees negative. zero thrust angle.
why do you want to change brake pads? are they worn and in need or are they fading? what type of driving are you doing w your car?
i run EBC pads exclusively: green for street, red track. carbon kevlar. one of their features is they are really good on the rotors. as you get into metallic pads you will start to chew up your rotors and they require a higher operating temperature to stop the car.
let's hear from you on the pad situation....

Thank alot for all the info, well I just got the car and it has 240,000 runs well but yes the brakes are fading quite a bit. I have a daily driver and I was wanting to make this more of a weekend autocross car since my other car was bought by my parents and I don't want to tear it up. I just got the rotors turn and I am ready for the break pad and want to know what the best buy is. Now that I have ordered those shocks what springs should I get.
