You don't want to end up buying from your local Mazda dealer. It would be rape and pillage. Check out Black Dragon and Mazdatrix. Both have online shopping type websites.

I recently did my fronts and rears. Power Slots on the front and (after I wasted $ on some "on sale" cheap ones that were warped) Racing Brakes for the rear.

You get what you pay for. Pay for quality.

any off the shelf blank brake rotor is fine.

friend of mine ran hpde on autozone rotors with some ridiculous race compound pads that don't even work until you get them nice and toasty. i think they were cobalt pads? they held up just fine. he's not the only one who runs that **** for track events.

off the shelf pads will be okay too for daily driving. you might want to spend a bit more and get hawks or something, but it's really not necessary.

just make sure you bleed and bed properly.

Yes, you get what you pay for in pads, somewhat, but I agree 100%, just buy whatever cheap plain rotors your local parts store has, they'll be more than enough. That's what I use on my car, and I track my car. Cheap pads are fine for normal driving, but if you are hard on brakes, something like a Hawk HPS or a Porterfield R4S will be a better idea. I've run cheap parts store pads for years without issues and only went to R4S when some got shipped to me by accident and I bought them for a big discount.
