Exclamation brake help ASAP!

ok i have an 85 with rear calipers...one is frozen so im replacing both the thing is i cant get the line out of the old caliper...a 16mm line wrench doesnt fit but a 17mm does but there is some space, i have already starting to round off one of the bolts using the line wrench and stopped to make this post.

ive used parts cleaner and have removed oll of the **** from around the line bolt so its not that that is getting in the way of the 16mm

So what's the question? I'm assuming you are asking what you should do. Well soak it with liquid wrench over night and try an adjustable wrench.

use a dose of WD40 overnight and a pair of high quality vise-grips to crack the nut off (avoids rounding it off leaving usable flats for the future), tighten on new caliper using the spanner (to avoid overtightening)

Do you mean the brake line? Or the caliper itself off the hub?

The brake line has a 10mm fitting and the caliper has a 17mm bolt.

If either one is rounded get a vise grip and lock it on good. Take a small hammer and knock it tell it brakes loose.

Just did this over the weekend. Even if the nuts/bolts are not rounded sometimes with an open ended wrench you can round them if the bolt/nut is good and tight. Hence why a vise grip and hammer work soo well. But be careful with the vise grip on the nut/bolt.
