Here are the specs on and some pics of my Brembos:

- Brembo 8-piston calipers in front (aluminum pistons with ventilated titanium inserts, 4 individual pads per caliper, with two differentially sized pistons for each pad)

- Brembo 4-piston calipers in back (aluminum with ventilated titanium inserts)

- 355mm x 32mm slotted rotors in front

- 313mm x 25.4mm slotted rotors in back

- Custom rotor mounting hats and caliper adapter brackets machined from 7075-T6 aluminum

- Performance Friction "93" compound pads in front

- Performance Friction "90" compound pads in back

- AP dual master cylinder (with balance bar, eliminates brake booster, allows adjustable pedal ratio)

- Brake system designed by Mark Valskis (Valspeed Racing). It saves 0.5 lb per corner in front, and saves 7.0 lbs per corner in the rear.

- Goodridge stainless steel DOT brake lines

- Motul brake fluid

Front Brakes:

Rear Brakes:

Master Cylinder:

Steve

Its the ultimate setup. I used to open Mark Valskis site every day or two just to drool over it.

Mark Valskis had used the calipers and rotors briefly on his car, so he gave me a good deal on the whole setup. I think new the calipers and rotors would have been about $7 - 8K.

The master cylinder was about $1,500 if I remember correctly.

Nope, 17" wheels would not fit. I have 18s, and they barely clear.

Cheers,

Steve

I was over at Mark's once and he showed me that setup before he put it on the car. The rotors came in what looked like Brembo pizza boxes. That is a damn nice setup.

Here's some pics of my N-Tech AP 4-piston 13" front setup:

And my Widefoot/Wilwood NDL/Mazda rears (the Mazda RZ rotors are soon to be replaced by the 2-piece Precision Brakes rotors):

Thanks, the wheels are Volk SE37K in black (used to be a standard color for these, but apparently is special order now). The fronts are 8.5x17 +40 (15.4 lbs each) and the rears are 17x9.5 +40 (16.6 lbs each). And I got the plain center caps. They are roughly $2K for a set.

Max doesn't have his parking brake anymore. He said so in his writeup.

Nope, no hand brake. It hasn't turned out to be that big of a deal. I just put it in gear when I park. That wouldn't hold the car on a grade, but fortunately I've never had any trouble finding a flat-enough place to park.

Steve,
I notice by the pictures you're using a 265/35/18 BFG KD on a 10" (i assume) wheel. What's your impression of this size, is it a "big" 265, as in does it look at home on a 10" wheel? How does it compare with what I assume is a 285/30/18 rear? Does the real look to be of noticeably lower-profile?

Looking at the above pics makes my kit look small and pitiful but here are a couple pics anyway.

Wilwood Superlite 4 pistons with 12.75" rotors.

Best thing about these are they only cost me $425 total . And I sold my calipers for $50, steel lines for $25 and will probably sell the rotors for around $50 so a net cost of $300!
