Best struts \shocks for an 83 fb
Ok,I have asked this at torque cetntal,other engines part of this forum,the general,forum ,the 1st gen forum,searched ,and got little info,most was about fc or fds.
My 83 fb needs new shocks and struts,was told by the local shop[I trust them they have done lots of work for me]that they are bad.
I am looking for good shocks,but don't want to overspend,and get something only an autocrossing pro would need ot nitice the diufference of.
THe places in town[Napa,autozone]only sell stock replacements,a whole set for $175 but I have heard that oem struts are not real good.
The other ones I am looking at [can afford]are tokico hps for 180 ebay for the front and rear..the other ones jump a lot in price,there jsut dosn't seem to be many choices for an fb.What would you guys reccomend?I don't plan on any autocrossing,I jsut plan on doing a 350 swap and bombing around town,and the ocasional trip to thel drag strip.Would the tokico hps be ok for that,and hold the extra weight from the v8?
