Exclamation Best racing tire for a 17" wheel

I just just got a set of Volk Challanger 17" wheels and want to know what everyones opion is requarding the best set of tires. This is what I am looking for. Super sticky, milage life is not a concern. wet traction is not a concern either. Right now I have Yokahoma Advan 023P 275 40 ZR17's on the rear with about 30% percent tread left. So I will be needing new tires in the next few months.

Street or track driving?

Auto-x get some Hoosiers or Kumho V710 for the fastest times and the shortest life. The Kumho V700 is great for fast times and a little more life with a very slight amount of streetable tread. The Hoosiers will set you back $1000 or so.

R-compound tires are not good for the street, Kumho and Hoosiers won't be suited for the street at all. The problem is they don't work in the wet well AT ALL. They get hard quickly.

You might try some Yoko A032R if they still make them or maybe some Toyo RA1s.

Otherwise look for an ultra high performance street tire.

U could try Bridgestone RE540S or RE55S. Yokohama A048 or maybe Toyo Trampio R888. Or some of the other R rated tiers. But for non semi slicks tiers u could go for Bridgestone S-03 it is a very good non semi slicks tier.

Kumho MX are incrtedibly sticky and the right size but not great in the wet, also possibly noisy, but those drawbacks are probably very similar to your current AO32P (R?) tires.
The new Azenis RT-615 is almost available by now and in the size you need, it might be a bit stickier then the Kumho MX but its a few bucks more and probably just as bad in the wet.
Both of these are less sticky but will harden more slowly over time comnpared to the Advan AO32R... so you might be getting more miles of sticky with almost as much stick as ther AO32R. I ran AO32R before but after street use on them you really see them harden fast from the many heat cycles of daily driving, that sucks.

the Goodyear F1 Supercar is an amazing tire... so is the BFG KD... but at double the cost of the other two I mention, I wouldnt even bother with either of them unless you rack up 20k+ miles a year.
