I was trying to get the federal 595 rsr tires, but they are not available, and its been a few months. Anyone recommend another bang for buck tire?

 

It might be easier to say what tire size and price per tire you are looking for...

 

I was looking for 255/40 17. I was going to get that size federal 595 rsr for $110-120. I work for a car shop so I get a discount over retail price, BUT I do not want to spend over $200 per tire. I am not a pro or competitive driver, but I want something pretty sticky. My car has a bnr stage 3, so I am expecting to make around 300whp, and I want to go to my first track event! Not that I will be competing or anything.

 

hankook R-S3 tend to be on the cheaper side , and same TW

now a bit less sticky but quite cheap is the yokohama S drives .

 

Under $200, I would look at the Kumho Ecsta XS. There are a few others to consider (but I would likely still go with the Kumho's):

Dunlop Direzza ZII
Bridgestone Potenza RE-11

On the cheap, here are some options:

Dunlop Direzza DZ102
Hankook Ventus V12 evo2
