Auto cross wheels and tires?
I have an 87 T II, with 16 inch tires, no power steering, and I am going to do Auto cross, I'm looking for tires I can use on street, about 2 days a week and also use on Auto cross. I have to drive about 120 miles to each event. Some one also sugested I go with 15 inch wheels? Any help?

I auto-X alot here locally and use falken azeni rt-615's on my daily driven 300zxTT which is a fat-****, tire-smokeing monster. I had them on my Z for about 8 months with 2 road-track days of 100mph + racing, 2 days at the drag strip, driving from mass. to kansas, and 25 auto-x runs. It's daily driven and hard. They are sticky as crap for the treadware (300) and not "too bad" in the wet.
I reccomend the rt-615's

For the best autocross performance you'll want to ditch the stock boat anchor wheels for something lighter. They're seriously heavy and will slow you down and make the handling worse. If you're in a stock class then you'll need stock sized wheels (16x7) with close to the factory offset (40mm, i'd go smaller by as much as the rules allow though, for better tire clearance and a wider track). For the best autocross tire for the stock sized wheels get some 225/50/16 Azenis RT-615's.
