I just had my Koni yellows and H&R springs installed and had the front perches set in the middle. Everything is fine with the stock wheels and tires but, I'll be putting on 18's soon and am afraid it will rub. I'll probably need to adjust the perch to the top setting and am wondering if this could be done without removing the shock from the car ?

Im imagining all that would need to be done is to compress the spring and move the perch clip to a higher setting. i'm just wondering where i can get a manual type compressor to accomplish this with out removing any thing from the car.

Autozone (if available in NJ) can lend you a spring compressor tool, with a refundable deposit. Not sure if its possible to sqeeze the compressors in with the shock mounted. Its really not that hard to remove the shocks though.

 

I was able to do it...but then I have ground control kit..so it was easy. if you can find a spring compressor small enough to fit up there..you can do it.

 

No chance on fitting a spring compressor on with the struts on the car; I know because I have been there. Plan on removing them, which isn't that bad.

 

Damn, i kinda had a funny feeling it would be a no go.
