AST Coilovers

http://www.ast-suspension.com/engels...res/gtline.htm

Has anyone ever heard of these. I am being offered a set of these at cost by a dealer here in SF. I am really tempted to buy them. I could really use them for track days.

Which model and how much? That will be a good indicator. I'd be interested in learning more about these as well. What about warranty and such.

they have to be shipped in from Holland and what not so there will be added expenses but all I have to pay for is the cost of the product plus freight. The shop is trying to become a dealer for AST here in the states and this is their first purchase for customers. The creator of AST used to work for Koni and wnated to make his own product. These systems are hailed as some of the best in the world and people in Europe and Japan are really crazy about them. He estimated my cost would be around 1300 total, but he said it might be less. PM me if you want to know which shop it is. I am not sure this guy wants to be hounded with requests.

I saw a set of these coilovers on their Project Lancer and they are first rate all the way.

iv made some phone calles trying to find some info on some of AST's coilovers, and so far i havent found out anything! I e-mailed AST directly and they gave me 2 distributors here in the USA. One was the one jeremy told me about. After calling them and talking with them i found that they both dont speak english very well, but not bad enough to damper communications. Anyway, i guess AST is VERY new, so new that not even the places i called know anything about them other then they are coilovers. They dont even have the information yet! Iv been trying to get a price on the rally line, so far, no good.
