Question Anyone running Falken GRB FK 451 tires ?

I need to buy new tires but I don't want to break the bank since I just bought new Rims that came with shitty Kumho 712's. These tires really suck! And besides, the fronts are too tall @ 235/40/18, and are rubbing against my plastic wheel well liner.

Here are my choices from victoriatire.com & tirerack.com:

245/35/18

Falken GR Beta FK-451 $166 ZR

Pirelli PZero Rosso Asimmetrico $224 ZR

Pirelli PZero System Asimmetrico $216 ZR

Hankook Ventus K104 $151 ZR

Toyo Proxes T1-S $225 ZR

Dunlop SP Sport 9000 $161

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 $173

Pirelli PZero Rosso Asimmetrico $225

Does anyone have any experience with the Falkens? Recommendations for my front tires?

That size, only some brands have them, like falken, Goodyear, toyo. I'm looking at these as well.

For toyo, try edgeracing.com....cheaper.

I was thinking about trying the Falken GR Beta FK-451 in the stock tire size. In my online searching for a review, I found one of the C5 guys had them and liked them, but wasn't in depth about them. I'm pricing them locally on Monday, but may end up getting them from tires.com if the local prices are too much.

i just bought a set for my gram lights that should be in soon. i read quite a few reviews, and the only downside i see, is some people said they don't give much warning before they give. for the money, they seem pretty good

They were a good upgrade from my well worn Bridgestone S02. Good price too.

I just got a set of FalkenFK-451's in 225/54/17 for my FC. I've had them for about six weeks and so far I love them. They're a HUGE step up from 15 inch Pirelli all season tires. I don't really have anything to judge them against in a high performance type tire, but they grip very well in dry conditions, they have good wet grip and they haven't hydroplaned at all on me (that's with double the usuall rainfall in the last month). I haven't explored their limits yet as doing so would be stupid on the street, but I'll post a review after I go to the track in about a month.

Well, I ended up just putting on 2 of the Falken FK451's on the rear. Felt like **** at first due the idiots putting 44psi in them. Felt like I was floating all over the place and it turned a little pull due to me needing an alignment to a severe pull, especially under WOT. I dropped the tire pressure down to 30 and the car felt much better, and had an alignment today and now it feels very good. I do notice a little more noise from these tires, but I don't mind. The Apexi N1 dual drown's out most sounds anyway!

I've only driven a few miles, but so far they are awesome. Much better in the rain than the Bridgestone Potenza RE940's I had on.
