anyone know how to polish rims???

I would like to learn how to polish rims... has anyone done this... and will you please reply with instructions... I just got some new rims for my 2nd gen... and I can practice with the stock ones.... this would be cool....

my guesses... maybe a dremel tool... and once they are polished... how would you protect the bare metal from the elements so they don't rust.

If you are into polishing your rims search around on this site, you will probably be into polishing your car as well and their is alot of information on this site. I have seen threads there that advocate using the same products that polish the car's paint on the rims. From what they say the brake dust then comes off very easily after polishing and cannot affect the rims properties thereafter.

Use a good wheel cleaner and then use some good wax for wheels that buffs on by hand. Wipe off and enjoy!
