Anyone have Tanabe Sustec Pro Street coilovers?
Just curious of what youall thought of it... the streets are not dampining adjustable but there really isnt ever a real need for seomthing like that if im just street driving and occasional drag racing. So what do youall think?
Thanks

Rich is running the Sustec SS suspension on the pros. The SS are a little more aggressive. Both Rich and the RP guys took a ride around in his car when they did it and everyone gave it a good thumbs up! Oh yeah Rich went from the stock R1 suspension to that.
Tanabe only makes 3 types of suspension for the FD
The S-S Type II- dampening adjustable, no helper spring - cost less, but more performance oriented.
The S-S - dampening adjustable, helper spring - best for comfort + performance. Awesome!
The RR - full race coilover not for street use.
Tanabe suspensions are awesome quality. You can't go wrong with them. Save up the cash for them, they're worth it. Come with uppermounts too

Well this thread will stay revived for at least another couple days cause I got a question BlackR1. I've been thinking about getting the RRs. Even though they're not for street use there shouldn't be a problem running them right? I mean, is it only that they won't be as comfortable to ride on as the SS ones or are you saying they'll do something else like cause damage or I could get a fine or something? Or maybe I'm just reading into this, haha, by all means let me know. I just thought that those would be the best to go with, I like the features (it looks like they have a wide range of height adjustability, the piston is thicker and it still has dampening adjustability even if it is only 4 levels). I was thinking of going with the SS before anyway, so please fill me in. Thanks.

Wow, blast from the past! Huy, Nic, and Carson posted on this thread......2 out of 3 still own their FDs, lol.
I love my S-S coilovers. They have lasted all these years without one problem. Car handles amazingly well and Ari dialed in the ride height/stance perfectly back in 2001
