Anyone familair with 3000GT wheel sizes?

A friend of mine has a '91 3000GT SL. He is looking for an aftermarket set of wheels, and wants my help sizing them. Problem is, I cant find out what the stock offset is for his wheels. They are a 16x8. Ive seen one post of DSMtalk forums where somone *thinks* that the N/A wheels were a 46mm offset and the TT ones were 42mm. Thats all the info I could find, after about an hour of searching various forums and FAQs for them, etc.. I found him a set of 18x7.5s in a 35mm offset, but not knowing for sure his stock offset I cant really do much. Can anyone help me out?

Don't go skinnier than stock!

It should list wheel offset in the owner's manual.

I wouldnt...but he doesnt care about performance, he just wants a 18" wheel, and I can get this set for him for very cheap. Besides..its a N/A 3000GT. Whats he need wide tires for? It just screams performance

Stock offset for ALL 3/S wheels is 46mm. A 35mm offset on a 8.5" wide wheel will fit almost flush with the fender well in the front and a little inside of it in the back. A 7.5" wide wheel is way too skinny for that car, don't even consider it, TRUST ME!
