Im thinking of doing the swap to our 1/4 mile 2nd gen..Since a 26X9 slick wont cut the mustard..Looks like a good place to mount the coil overs is the frame rails next to the front of the gas tank and then to the stock location on the lower control arms..We have already nocthed the rear control arms for maximum tire and wheel clearance..After getting the stock strut out of the way looks like we will have room for at least a26x11 or a possible 28X12.5 MT ET street..
Has anyone tried this before....Being as the stock rear is pretty durable and has a good sized ring gear we are trying not to back half the car...
