Any reviews on Hancook Ventus K100s?

Any experiences with these tires? 245/45-16s are dirt cheap at 83 bucks each. Z rated, uni-directional. V- tread pattern. 240 wear rating. Yes I tried a search. Isn't working.

Thanks,

Greg

Never heard of them. Let us know what you think, if you get them.

Grassroots Motorsports tested the Hankook Ventus K104 against the Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712, BFG KD, and Falken Azenis Sport in its November '02 issue.

The BFG KD was best, followed by the Falken Azenis Sport, and the Hankook and Kuhmo ~~712 came out about equal tied for 3rd on an autocross course.

All of these tires are Z rated and in a close price range.

BTW, the Hankook ads I've seen list a K102 which appears to be a 4 season tread, and the K104 which looks more like a summer tire pattern. I haven't seen a K100 model yet.

i have heard a lot of bad things about these tires!! i am a mechanic and my shop sells tires, the people come in and say that they want new tires because these tires handle like crap, they are noisey, and wear pretty fast

Well I bought them. What the hell for $400 out the door with lifetime rotations, balancing, tire repairs. I like them. They're actually the K102s. They have the typical looking rain v-tread with a groove down the center. They are quiet, stable, plow through standing water no problem. Great in the rain at high speed and it was finally dry today and they felt good on dry too. So far so good and dirt cheap!
